New Patients

First Visit - What to Expect

When you arrive early for your first visit to our pediatric dental practice, you and your child will be greeted warmly. If you do have dental insurance, bring the information with you and our staff will help with filing electronic claims. We may also need you to fill out forms that help you get acquainted with our office.

Your initial visit to Seacoast Children’s Dentistry will introduce you to your child’s new dental home. This is where a lifelong relationship begins. This initial time spent with your child will include, but not be limited to, dental homecare instruction, nutritional counseling, growth and development evaluation, orthodontic evaluation, as well as a comprehensive pediatric dental exam that will outline any dental concerns.

Early Childhood

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics both recommend your child see the dentist when their first tooth appears or their first birthday (whichever comes first). This introduces your child to their new dental home and allows for the beginning of a lifelong relationship between the dentist, your child and you, the parent. It also allows Dr. Adam to monitor growth and development and catch problems while they are still small and easy to treat. Dr. Adam will happily take any patient, from birth through college. He also specializes in dental care for those with special needs and is happy to see these patients at any age.

Pediatric & Young Adult Care

We happily treat children from age 0 through college. Even with the word “Children’s” in our name, we are completely capable to treat your teenagers and “big kids”.   Often times, our older patients can be quite busy with sports and activities, so we always strive to provide appointment openings that will fit their needs.  As long as your son or daughter doesn’t mind watching Disney movies on the ceiling, bring them by for a visit!
